Cape Malay Exploring

My week in South Africa has been so very magical what a fascinating, beautiful part of the world. Here is a little fashion diary and story of my favourite day exploring the city.

We woke up bright and early to start our day exploring the Cape Malay region, a suburb next to the city. We learnt all about the history of the brightly coloured area, housing many Asian slaves years ago. We ended the morning on a class cooking a traditional curry, it was delicious.

Previously in the week mum got chatting to a wonderful American lady Britt Dyer  who is living and working in South Africa carrying out missionary work in the townships of Delft. She invited us to visit the soup kitchens, homework clubs and some of her friends homes. Experiencing true South Africa πŸ‡ΏπŸ‡¦. The kids were so happy in the centres practising their English with us and they loved the snapchat filters on my phone.

The work Bettaway community church are doing is vital in these communities. Please read up and help support them by visiting www.worldmin.org/south-africa.htm
